Mining Services

For the past 30+ years Key Agricultural Services, Inc. has conducted field and consulting services in mine land permitting, reclamation, and/or mitigation on over 20,000 acres. Past projects and clients have given us the opportunity to interact with landowners, engineers, environmentalists, consultants, and government agencies. Our ability to relate to the farm community, as well as professionals outside of the agricultural industry, has proven to be an integral part of our success.


List of Mining Services:

  • Mine Land Permitting - Topsoil depth determinations, calculation of B/C mix for rooting media variances.
  • Yield Monitoring - Collect and calculate crop loss data on pipeline tracts.
  • Geo-referenced Constant Pressure Cone Penetrometer - Map and record the level of compaction and/or effectiveness of the de-compaction practices to a depth of up to 50 inches. Analyze compaction data to determine probable effects on crop yield potential.
  • Soil Fertility Management - Collect and analyze soil samples and create fertilizer recommendations. GIS mapping, create variable rate application files, and field performance analysis using soil fertility data, GPS yield data, and soil type maps.
  • Mine land/Engineering testing - Laboratory testing specific to engineering issues.
  • Data Analysis - Compile and analyze data to identify trends that aid in determining mitigation practices and potential improvements to future practices.
